The program addresses a wide range of topics, including anger management, strategies to prevent relapse, an introduction to the 12-step recovery process, coping strategies, and financial skills. The faith-infused recovery experience encompasses activities such as Bible study, worship services, and weekly church gatherings, along with recovery meetings held off-site. SOZO Recovery asserts that clients can achieve in one month what might typically require 90 days in conventional programs. As residents approach the third month of their stay, they are usually prepared to begin reintegrating into their everyday lives. The intensive outpatient initiative at SOZO supports this transition by providing housing in one of their three transitional homes situated on expansive grounds spanning over 6 acres. Participants in this stage will engage in recovery-focused activities for 9 hours each week, which may be adjusted to as few as 4 hours for those who are employed after 3-4 weeks. Unemployed residents initially take part in 15-17 hours of therapies and support services aimed at securing employment. Attendance at recovery meetings or classes held on campus is compulsory for all residents present.
