The Walker Center

The Walker Center is a nonprofit organization located in Gooding, Idaho, dedicated to providing research-backed addiction recovery services. Established in 1976, the center's mission is to support individuals in their journey towards sobriety and improved well-being. They offer a comprehensive range of services, including a residential treatment option and two tiers of outpatient care. The Walker Center develops personalized treatment plans that address the specific requirements of each client, all within a well-defined program structure. Each week of the program delves into various important themes, including the medical understanding of addiction, strategies for avoiding relapse, fostering sustained recovery, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Additionally, the Walker Center offers medication-assisted treatment for safer detoxification and a family program that includes 2-3 scheduled visits during the residential phase.

The center focuses on addressing substance use disorders by assisting individuals in achieving stability, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and fostering connections to empathetic support systems.
