Active Recovery Men

Active Recovery is dedicated to supporting men as they transition from active substance use to a state of "active recovery." The center provides a comfortable living environment together with personal training and counseling tailored for recovery. Residents in the recovery apartments have access to gym equipment on the premises, a membership at the local YMCA, and personal trainers. The program at Active Recovery includes routine house meetings, assigned chores, periodic drug screenings, and outings to explore the Austin area. Clients benefit from shared bedrooms in a homely atmosphere, complete with internet access, televisions, outdoor cookouts, and a spacious backyard. Upon arrival, each client undergoes a nutritional assessment to help them take charge of their health and enhance their overall wellness. Physical exercise therapies offered include aerobics, weight training, stretching, and yoga.

The center focuses on addressing substance use disorders by assisting individuals in achieving stability, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and linking them to empathetic support networks.
