Situated in a welcoming campus in Cape Cod, A Place for Girls provides comprehensive support for teenage girls aged 12 to 17, along with their families, through their Adult & Teen Challenge program. This initiative focuses on addressing issues of substance abuse, emotional challenges, and related conditions. The center offers a faith-driven residential program lasting 3 to 5 months, allowing young women to enter a safe environment where they can seek help, regain hope, and develop independence. Each participant has the opportunity to embark on a fresh start with the support of Biblical Counseling, Christian education, and round-the-clock compassionate care. Unlike other treatment centers, A Place for Girls is dedicated exclusively to enhancing the health and wellbeing of young women facing hardships. It stands out as one of just two short-term residential facilities in the country that centers entirely on the unique challenges faced by today's teenage girls. Graduates of A Place for Girls emerge with improved self-esteem, a zest for life, practical life skills, and a profound sense of healing and blessing. The program emphasizes personal development and recovery. Challenges such as substance abuse, self-harm, running away, anger issues, theft, vandalism, and a range of behavioral problems can stem from mental health struggles, including depression and anxiety, along with various life-controlling issues prevalent among adolescent girls. At their therapy center, the dedicated team at A Place for Girls aids young women in overcoming these obstacles. A Place for Girls champions the transformative power of positive outdoor activities to strengthen connections to the world, life, and faith. As a Christian-based organization, they offer biblical teachings and counseling in a supportive home environment. Each girl participates in foundational Christian education through the New Testament Christian School Homeschool extension program, which includes individual, group, and family counseling provided by their Biblical Counselor.
