Buckeye Ranch

The Buckeye Ranch, located in Grove City, Ohio, provides both residential and outpatient services for children and teenagers aged 9 to 17 who are facing mental health or substance use issues. The center offers various programs, including the Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) and the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF), along with counseling services delivered in homes, schools, and community settings. For older adolescents, there are life skills programs available, and family services aim to foster stability and improve relationships. The treatment approach integrates effective, individualized methods tailored to the unique needs of each young person. Therapeutic interventions consist of individual, group, and family therapy sessions designed to enhance coping strategies and emotional resilience. Following their time in the program, participants can access ongoing support services, such as counseling and support groups, to aid in their recovery journey. Residents stay in supervised housing on campus, which includes both private and shared living areas. The facility ensures safety and structure with locking units, surveillance cameras, and a 1:4 staff-to-youth ratio. There are 6 PRTF beds designated for those requiring more intensive support. Youth are provided with daily meals, attend local schools—specifically Southwestern City Schools—and engage in recreational and therapeutic activities that encourage social interaction, emotional development, and the establishment of healthy habits.
