About
Located in the southwestern region of Missouri, Citizens Memorial Hospital provides comprehensive care for children aged six and older, teenagers, adults, and seniors aged 50 and above who are dealing with mental health or substance use issues, as well as those with other medical necessities. The offered programs are structured as outpatient services.
The hospital's multidisciplinary team, which includes doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, and licensed clinical social workers, emphasizes the interconnectedness of mental and physical health. For student clients, collaboration with school counselors is available to ensure that they receive necessary support while pursuing their education. Older adults can receive targeted care for conditions such as Alzheimer's, dementia, and other cognitive challenges affecting their quality of life.
Their treatment methodology integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with medical interventions. Techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) aid individuals in managing their emotions, reshaping negative thought patterns, and enhancing interpersonal relationships. Additionally, their medication-assisted treatment (MAT) programs for substance use disorders utilize medications like Suboxone, Vivitrol, or Sublocade to alleviate cravings, allowing clients to concentrate on the psychological and social facets of recovery.
The mental health services are provided at the Bolivar Family Care Center, while the Butterfield Park Medical Center nearby offers both mental health and substance use treatments. Operating hours for these services are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with walk-in treatment available at the Bolivar location from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Clients can conveniently view their treatment records and billing through a secure patient portal.
