About

McCallum Place offers comprehensive medical and psychological support for individuals of all ages struggling with eating disorders. With a commitment to round-the-clock care, the center emphasizes nutritional education and provides assistance from registered dietitians and academic support through its team of on-site teachers and tutors. The experienced professionals at McCallum Place include psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists specializing in child and family issues, medical doctors, nursing staff, dietitians, and experts in sports medicine. Within the residential program, clients are assured personalized attention with a minimum of one session per week with their psychologist, three individual therapy sessions focused on eating disorders, and weekly consultations with a dietitian. The care team meets weekly to discuss treatment goals and monitor progress. Support is available during all meals and snacks, and the facility is equipped to manage intensive medical needs, including options like nasogastric tube feeding when necessary. McCallum Place addresses a variety of eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, body dysmorphia, laxative misuse, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). In addition to these primary concerns, they also provide treatment for associated mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, self-injury, OCD, and various personality disorders. The center offers diverse treatment options, including residential care, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, and transitional living. Additionally, McCallum Place features a dedicated recovery program tailored for athletes, known as the Victory Program, which combines eating disorder treatment with athletic support through the guidance of sports psychologists, coaches, and dietitians to facilitate a holistic recovery process.
