The Fairfield facility focuses on adolescent and teenage girls between 11 and 17 years old, providing personalized residential treatment in a caring and encouraging setting. At Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program, clients benefit from a broad spectrum of evidence-based interventions that include regular individual, group, and family therapy. Teens engage in a well-structured daily routine comprising 5 to 6 hours of therapeutic activities. The tailored programs also emphasize educational support, enabling adolescents to work with liaisons or tutors who assist with their academic needs. Moreover, treatment at Discovery emphasizes active family participation along with the development of life skills, engaging experiences, and medication management overseen by qualified psychiatrists. The Fairfield site particularly addresses primary mental health challenges such as reactive attachment disorder (RAD), trauma responses, anxiety disorders, self-injury, bipolar disorder, and depressive conditions. Prioritizing family reintegration, clients and their families at Discovery receive extensive educational resources and support. Besides family therapy, they have access to expert guidance from a dedicated care team, support groups, psycho-educational sessions, medication management groups, and comprehensive aftercare options.
