About

Located in the Henderson Heights area near The Ohio State University Airport, KAV Health Columbus (also referred to as Columbus Suboxone Doctor) offers comprehensive support for adults in southwestern Ohio facing challenges related to mental health, substance use, and eating disorders. The center addresses a variety of mental health issues such as ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, mania, hypomania, PTSD, personality disorders, schizophrenia, trauma, insomnia, and various mood disorders. In terms of substance use, it assists individuals dealing with addictions to alcohol, heroin, opioids, prescription medications, morphine, codeine, and other narcotics. For clients with eating disorders, KAV Health treats conditions such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating, regurgitation, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). KAV Health provides same-day consultations and develops individualized treatment plans tailored for both in-person and virtual sessions, accommodating any co-occurring conditions. Their therapeutic team is skilled in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), with treatment progression adjusted to the client's comfort level. In addition to individual and group counseling, KAV Health offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) aimed at addressing both mental health and substance use issues. The primary medication used is Suboxone, which comprises buprenorphine and naloxone to help alleviate cravings for opioids, alcohol, and other substances. For addressing PTSD and related mental health difficulties, KAV Health utilizes medical marijuana in accordance with Ohio regulations, specifically administering THC to eligible patients. The center operates Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with some virtual counselors providing evening and weekend availability. KAV Health also manages three additional clinics throughout southwestern Ohio focused on mental health, substance use disorders, and eating disorders, along with a location in Cincinnati West dedicated to substance use treatment. Clients can access further health services through their nearby primary care clinics. For those overcoming substance use challenges, KAV Health offers a sober living aftercare option through seven sober living facilities known as Izzy's House, which collaborate with their clinics to provide Suboxone as part of the recovery process.
