Liberation Programs Bridgeport Outpatient Services

Located on the eastern side of Bridgeport within the Pelletier Wellness Center, Liberation Programs operates an outpatient clinic that provides intensive outpatient (IOP) services six days a week. While the majority of their consultations take place in person, they are equipped to arrange telehealth sessions if required. Liberation Programs is dedicated to meeting clients at their current stage in the recovery process by employing a harm reduction strategy. Their offerings include individual, group, and family counseling, as well as medications like Buprenorphine, Naltrexone, or Suboxone to help manage cravings and facilitate a focus on recovery. Even for those not ready to completely cease drug use, Liberation aims to prevent overdoses and provides Narcan (naloxone) for emergency situations. Beyond their treatment services, Liberation conducts preventive initiatives aimed at assisting both adults and youth in the community to steer clear of future addiction or mental health challenges. They have recovery coaches available, including those with specific expertise in supporting pregnant individuals or parents. For families seeking housing during recovery, Liberation offers 18 units. Additionally, their mobile outreach vans provide treatment referrals, medication prescriptions, and educational tools, and the team is eager to engage with community events and schools to raise awareness about substance use.

The center provides treatment for substance use issues alongside simultaneous mental health challenges. Each client's care plan is tailored to address both conditions concurrently, ensuring a holistic approach with empathetic support for thorough recovery.
