Liberation Programs Greenwich Youth & Family Resources

Located within the Greenwich YMCA, the Greenwich services of Liberation Programs offer intensive outpatient (IOP) counseling to clients. While the primary focus is on in-office sessions, telehealth appointments can be arranged as necessary. This facility specifically targets the needs of youth and their families. Liberation Programs is dedicated to employing a harm reduction strategy to effectively support clients. Their offerings encompass individual, group, and family counseling, along with medications like Buprenorphine, Naltrexone, or Suboxone to help alleviate cravings and assist in focusing on recovery. Their philosophy accommodates clients who may not be ready to completely cease drug use, providing resources to prevent overdoses, including access to Narcan (naloxone). Beyond treatment, Liberation engages in preventive initiatives aimed at helping both adults and youths in the community steer clear of addiction and mental health challenges. They employ recovery coaches, some of whom have specialized training in assisting clients who are pregnant or are parents. For families requiring housing support during recovery, Liberation manages 18 units. Additionally, their mobile outreach units supply treatment referrals, medication prescriptions, and educational materials, and their team is eager to participate in community events and schools to raise awareness about substance use.

The rehabilitation center focuses on treating individuals with substance use issues alongside coexisting mental health disorders. Each client receives a tailored treatment plan that simultaneously addresses both conditions, ensuring compassionate and holistic support for complete recovery.
