About
Lifeskills Osceola House serves as a gender-specific transitional residence for adults finishing their residential substance use treatment. The center offers a structured environment where individuals can receive education and professional guidance as they work towards regaining their independence. Residents are encouraged to develop recovery strategies while engaging in educational, occupational, or volunteer activities within a supportive setting that aims for lasting achievements.
Available around the clock, the facility provides essential access to clinical, medical, and psychiatric care. Its offerings include training in life skills, coaching for independence, and mentoring support. Transportation is arranged for necessary outings, appointments, and meetings. Once residents feel comfortable, they may use bicycles or their own means of transport, with clinical consent, to encourage self-sufficiency on their recovery journey.
The center features either private or shared rooms, regular cleaning services, and key-secure entry. With a low staff-to-resident ratio, personalized attention is prioritized. The program encompasses participation in day treatment (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP). Additionally, it provides various activities, including yoga, cooking sessions, 12-step meetings, and nutrition education. Communal experiences, such as shared Sunday dinners, morning meditations, and community gatherings, help to establish a sense of structure and belonging.
