Nextep is dedicated to providing educational resources and a supportive atmosphere for those recovering from substance addiction through its outpatient treatment services and sober living facilities. To help clients move from the initial stages of recovery towards self-sufficiency, Nextep offers a structured six-month supported living arrangement. Located in Fort Myers, Florida, the center operates nine facilities and implements a program rooted in the principles of the 12-step approach. The range of services includes mental health support and comprehensive recovery programs for substance abuse, all facilitated by licensed professionals. Nextep has nine gender-specific homes in Lee County, situated in serene residential areas of Fort Myers and Cape Coral. Preparation for Daily Life Residents of the sober living program are expected to adhere to set curfews, undergo drug screenings, and comply with the program's stringent policies. Each individual is responsible for completing assigned weekly chores and maintaining financial independence. Clients are required to secure employment, actively seek job opportunities, or enroll in recognized academic or vocational training. They benefit from various clinical therapies, including individual and family sessions, group therapy, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Additionally, clients can engage in diverse experiential activities such as kayaking, ropes courses, art therapy, equine therapy, and boating. Nextep is accredited by the Joint Commission and accepts insurance for its services.
