Sabal Palms Recovery

Sabal Palms Recovery Center is a residential facility with 32 beds, offering medically supervised detox and comprehensive discharge planning to ensure ongoing care. Their treatment approach is centered on trauma awareness, allowing the development of customized care plans tailored to each individual’s strengths and recovery requirements. The center spans a private 10-acre campus designed to foster a connection with nature and peer support through various outdoor activities and facilities. At Sabal Palms Recovery Center, the treatment process starts with an extensive evaluation of each client’s strengths, motivations, health background, mental health status, and personal circumstances. The dedicated staff closely monitors progress and makes necessary adjustments to treatment plans. The facility offers medical detox to support clients during drug and alcohol withdrawal, utilizing medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when appropriate. The experienced team includes a physician, addiction specialists, social workers, counselors, nurses, licensed practical nurses (LPNs), nurse practitioners, behavioral health technicians, recreational therapists, and a dietician. The center aims to simultaneously address addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Trauma-informed therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), are employed to treat conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, schizophrenia, and self-harm. Clients engage in identifying triggers, developing life skills, and understanding mental health conditions and treatments through six hours of daily therapy. Group sessions are held every day, with individual therapy available as needed, including daily meetings with psychiatrists to review medication and treatment progress. Sabal Palms Recovery Center’s expansive campus features mature oak trees, walking paths, and tranquil water features such as rivers and a lake. Clients can participate in outdoor sports with peers, including volleyball, tennis, basketball, and horseshoes. After ten days of treatment, clients are allowed one hour of cellphone use daily. The center also offers family therapy as required. Detailed discharge plans are developed for each client, facilitating transition to less intensive care options.

The Rehabilitation Center focuses on addressing substance use disorders alongside related mental health issues. Every individual's treatment plan is designed to tackle both aspects simultaneously, ensuring a tailored and empathetic approach to holistic recovery.
