Operational under Hartford HealthCare, the most extensive healthcare system in Connecticut, The Ridge Recovery Center stands as a modern residential treatment facility spanning 41,500 square feet, specifically designed for adults grappling with addiction and concurrent mental health issues. Their comprehensive recovery strategy encompasses detoxification services, intensive residential care, and a prolonged sober living program. Nestled on nearly 60 acres, The Ridge Recovery Center provides a tranquil and private setting amidst nature, complete with woodlands, ponds, and picturesque paths. Residents enjoy spacious private rooms with en-suite bathrooms, along with nutritious meals crafted by chefs, including gluten-free and vegetarian choices throughout their stay. Their holistic treatment plans are customized to meet individual needs and include mental health support, social and familial assistance, spiritual guidance, access to specialized medical professionals, and community support facilitated through 12-step programs. On the ground floor of the facility, there is a dedicated, discreet 16-bed detox unit available for individuals requiring medical oversight as they withdraw from substances like drugs or alcohol. This program may incorporate medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and acu detox, a method utilizing acupuncture on the ears to alleviate withdrawal symptoms and decrease cravings. The residential component is located on the first level, featuring distinct wings for men and women, each containing 18 private rooms. The center boasts a spacious area designated for group activities, a dining hall, recreational amenities, a well-equipped gym with Planet Fitness, and other large rooms designated for movies and games. Activities such as meditation, yoga, and hiking are also conducted across the expansive grounds. The top floor houses the extended stay program, featuring 9 sober living suites for individuals desiring to maintain their sobriety in a structured environment with flexible rates on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. The Ridge Recovery provides various programs and activities that emphasize holistic, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care. With a focus on a person-centered model, they craft individualized treatment plans that may include therapies such as pet therapy, art therapy, and individual, group, or family counseling sessions, along with morning reflections, sound healing, yoga, and meditation.
