About
Turning Point Canyon View specializes in residential care for individuals facing primary mental health issues and co-occurring disorders. The center emphasizes physician-led treatment that seeks to uncover the root causes of mental health challenges and equips clients with practical strategies for emotional resilience and coping with triggers. Turning Point provides a comprehensive range of mental health services along with ongoing aftercare to ensure lasting support and connection.
At Turning Point Canyon View, various primary mental health disorders are addressed, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, OCD, specific eating disorders (like binge eating and ARFID), trauma, sleep-wake issues, schizoaffective and schizotypal personality disorders, and Level 1 autism (often referred to as Asperger's). The dedicated team, which includes physicians, licensed mental health counselors, and social workers, tailors treatment to meet the unique needs of each client based on an initial assessment to establish the most effective therapeutic strategies.
As a center that does not adopt the 12-Step model, Turning Point Canyon View employs numerous evidence-based and trauma-informed therapies, utilizing both group and individual formats. The therapeutic modalities offered include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and medication-assisted approaches to support recovery as necessary. Clients benefit from three individual therapy sessions weekly, family counseling, routine visits with physicians either weekly or bi-weekly, and daily group sessions for mutual support and engagement.
Treatment Focus
The center offers services for mental health disorders alongside co-existing substance use problems. Here, you will benefit from tailored, team-based care that focuses on both aspects to promote comprehensive recovery.
