About
Situated on a picturesque 10-acre site just an hour's drive north of Anchorage, the Adult and Teen Challenge Houston Women’s Campus provides a faith-centered recovery program tailored for women dealing with substance use issues. Established by David Wilkerson in 1960, the organization has grown to include nearly 250 centers across the United States and over 1,000 worldwide. The Pacific Northwest Adult and Teen Challenge programs require a one-time intake fee of $500, with no additional monthly charges for the duration of the program. This year-long program accommodates both women and their children.
The curriculum at the Adult and Teen Challenge emphasizes three core objectives: healing from the damage caused by substance use, reconciling relationships with Jesus Christ and others, and achieving personal transformation built on faith in Jesus Christ. Participants engage in sermons, Bible studies, prayer sessions, spiritual retreats, and vocational training during their time in the program. As the center does not have medical personnel, attendees must complete detoxification before entering the program. To foster a focus on recovery, communication is restricted to immediate family, and personal electronic devices are prohibited. Additionally, in pursuit of a comprehensive recovery from substance use, smoking is not permitted on the premises.
Treatment Focus
The center focuses on addressing issues related to substance use, guiding individuals through stabilization, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and fostering connections with empathetic support systems.

Providers Policy
At the Adult and Teen Challenge Houston Women's Campus, we recognize the importance of making our programs accessible while focusing on the transformative journey of recovery. Our program, which spans one year, is designed to provide Christ-centered support for women seeking freedom from substance use concerns. To facilitate participation, we charge a one-time intake fee of $500. This fee covers the entirety of the program without any additional monthly costs.
Currently, we do not accept insurance as a form of payment. Therefore, participants are responsible for the intake fee upon admission. Given our mission to serve women and their children, we strive to ensure that financial barriers do not hinder anyone from receiving the help they need.
We encourage potential participants to reach out to us directly to discuss payment options and any questions they may have regarding the enrollment process. Our commitment is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where individuals can focus on recovery and spiritual growth.
