Adult and Teen Challenge Missoula Women's Campus

Situated just to the west of downtown Missoula and surrounded by stunning mountain vistas, the Adult and Teen Challenge Missoula Women’s Campus provides a Christ-centered approach to treatment for women grappling with substance use issues. Established by David Wilkerson in 1960, the organization has expanded to include nearly 250 centers across the United States and over 1,000 locations in 95 countries worldwide. The Pacific Northwest Adult and Teen Challenge programs require an intake fee of $500, with no further monthly charges for the duration of the program, which lasts one year and can house up to 20 women. The curriculum at Adult and Teen Challenge is rooted in biblical teachings and aims to achieve three key objectives: healing from the pain caused by substance abuse, restoring relationships with Jesus Christ and loved ones, and fostering a transformative experience grounded in faith. Participants engage in sermons, Bible study sessions, prayer activities, spiritual retreats, and vocational skills training throughout their time in the program. It is important to note that Adult and Teen Challenge does not have medical personnel on staff; therefore, individuals must complete detoxification prior to joining. To enhance the recovery experience, contact with anyone outside immediate family is restricted, and the use of electronic devices is prohibited. A complete abstinence from all forms of substance use, including smoking, is expected from all participants.

The focus of this center is on addressing substance use disorders, guiding individuals through stabilization, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and linking them to empathetic support.
