The POWER Youth Center serves as a welcoming drop-in facility and clinic operated by young people, aimed at creating a safe, non-judgmental environment in Anchorage for individuals aged 13 to 23. This center allows youth to socialize, engage with staff, or simply unwind in a cozy atmosphere. Its primary focus is to provide immediate assistance and a nurturing space where young individuals can form connections with their peers and trusted mentors without any pressure. The center also focuses on guiding youth towards future opportunities through the support of professional staff and peer-led programs. Young people can engage in one-on-one sessions with case managers to establish personal objectives and access services related to housing and job placement. Complementing this is a peer education initiative that trains youth to become Peer Outreach Workers (POWs). These trained peers facilitate discussions on important subjects such as cultivating healthy relationships, managing stress, and acquiring essential life skills. This framework helps empower youth to make informed choices and strategize for their futures. In addition to emotional support, the center provides various practical resources to address everyday needs. Young individuals can utilize a kitchen for meal preparation, access a food pantry, and browse a clothing closet. Facilities like free laundry machines, showers, and hygiene supplies are also provided. To encourage interaction and recreation, the center includes computers with internet access, video games, movies, and a range of artistic activities.

At this center, individuals receive customized support for their mental health challenges. The staff offers therapeutic services and designs treatment plans specifically suited to each person's distinct requirements, diagnoses, and choices.
