About
Alsana St. Louis, one of five locations, serves as a residential facility dedicated to assisting individuals grappling with eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa, along with related mental health issues. The center operates under six core principles aimed at guiding clients through their recovery journey, which include being accountable, providing direct support, and prioritizing the needs of the client. These guiding tenets foster a dedicated team eager to support those facing challenges.
The center provides a wide range of recovery programs tailored to the unique requirements of each individual. Available options consist of two-week winter intensives, virtual Telehealth services, residential treatment, day programs, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization programs (PHP), vegan-friendly initiatives, LGBTQ+ supportive services, as well as programming for alumni and their families. Therapies offered at Alsana include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and more. Additionally, they utilize their Adaptive Care Model, designed to address every aspect of a client's life through medical care, nutrition, physical activity, interpersonal relationships, and therapeutic interventions.
Situated on 55 stunning acres, the Alsana St. Louis campus is designed to evoke a serene retreat atmosphere rather than a conventional treatment facility. The estate features elegant furnishings and a welcoming central stone fireplace ideal for social interaction and relaxation. Clients can take advantage of the picturesque grounds and tranquil environment. Alsana holds accreditation from the Joint Commission and accepts most private insurance plans.
