The rehabilitation center is a community-focused organization that aids individuals in their recovery from substance use, those reintegrating after incarceration, or anyone looking for a new beginning. It addresses addiction along with related issues through various outpatient and residential programs, peer-led recovery initiatives, and transitional services. Their offerings span statewide and are rooted in Alaska Native traditions, ensuring they provide culturally sensitive support to clients from diverse backgrounds. Individuals can obtain assessments, group and individual therapy, case management, and assistance with reentry as they progress through their recovery. The center employs a holistic approach, integrating scientifically backed therapies such as moral reconation therapy (MRT), cognitive behavioral strategies, and peer mentorship with family-oriented and culturally aware services. Group discussions focus on topics like relapse prevention, essential life skills, trauma handling, and relationship-building, while personal counseling emphasizes individual development. Recovery coaches and program alumni are available to offer continued motivation. Additional services include prevention education, legal assistance, and support tailored for youth, families, and those involved with the justice system, all aiming to foster sustainable recovery and successful reintegration. Participants have the option to reside in one of two residential programs, each with 14 beds, that provide a structured environment for short-term stays, including meals, peer recovery activities, and daily counseling. Accommodations are typically shared, and the program includes job training support, sobriety assistance, and community living skills. Outpatient clients in Anchorage can join group sessions, partake in cultural events, and access employment resources. Transportation aid, youth initiatives, and career planning services help individuals and families establish a secure and connected future.
