Learn to Live Recovery is a dedicated rehabilitation and sober living center that guides young men through their recovery journeys, emphasizing the importance of purpose and positivity in life through shared experiences and community involvement. The center's mission is to "help young men reintegrate into their communities and equip them with sustainable recovery tools." This goal is realized through a customized program designed to meet each client's individual needs. Clients enjoy a structured daily schedule but also have the freedom to select their own activities. A gym membership is provided, along with opportunities to engage in various outdoor pursuits such as sports, hiking, kayaking, and fishing. Seasonal events aimed at fostering community, like bowling, paintball, movie nights, and sports games, are also part of the experience. Residents are required to attend three weekly meetings: 12-Step gatherings, community discussions, and communal activities. The weekly curriculum covers essential topics such as relapse prevention, job readiness, cooking skills, budgeting, and educational assistance. Nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Hermann, Missouri, the Learn to Live facility offers a cabin-like environment that promotes comfort and healing. Residents share bedrooms and enjoy spacious common areas filled with natural light and beautiful views of nature. Daily responsibilities include making their own beds and completing chores assigned by the resident coordinator. Additionally, residents are expected to manage their own grocery shopping and meal preparation. Learn to Live is staffed by compassionate professionals dedicated to creating a nurturing environment conducive to personal growth and recovery.
