New Freedom Academy

New Freedom Academy (NFA) Salem is an outpatient facility dedicated to treating addiction. As a member of the Granite Recovery Centers network, NFA Salem implements a phased approach to recovery, guiding clients from more intensive programs such as partial hospitalization (PHP) to intensive outpatient programs (IOP) as they advance in their healing. The center prioritizes a combination of evidence-based practices along with 12-Step methodologies for a well-rounded treatment experience. At NFA Salem, clients have access to a variety of services, including personalized counseling, group sessions, family therapy, and targeted programs for those dealing with dual diagnosis of mental health issues. Additionally, the center incorporates holistic methods like yoga and meditation, alongside trauma-informed practices and strategies for preventing relapse. Participants in the IOP engage in sessions from 9:00 AM to 12:20 PM, attending three times weekly and taking part in three group meetings a day while being provided with breakfast and lunch. NFA Salem caters to adults aged 18 and over, including veterans and members of the LGBTQ+ community, offering both face-to-face and telehealth services to meet diverse needs and preferences. The center is staffed by licensed therapists and recovery specialists, some of whom are graduates of the program, bringing a unique perspective and compassion to their work. NFA Salem also accepts a range of major insurance plans, enhancing accessibility for many individuals seeking help.
