About
This center provides specialized care for children and adolescents ranging from 6 to 18 years old within a secure residential facility that includes 96 beds, specifically designed for trauma recovery and personal development. It caters to individuals with significant behavioral and mental health challenges, particularly those dealing with trauma, stress, anger, and anxiety. The program features gender-segregated psychiatric units that offer a structured environment focused on therapy and peer interaction, ensuring safety and healing.
Professional staff utilize trauma-informed approaches combined with proven therapeutic methods, such as individual, group, and family counseling. Participants engage in expressive art forms, recreational therapy, and canine-assisted interactions to foster trust and enhance social abilities. Daily therapeutic sessions led by staff emphasize communication skills, emotional management, and promoting healthy behaviors.
Residents live in communal settings that follow organized schedules, with access to on-site education and outdoor recreational spaces. Nursing staff are available to assist with external healthcare appointments, meal plans are designed by nutrition experts, and laundry facilities are available within each unit. In addition to its primary residential care, the center features the Sexual Aggressive Youth (SAY) Program aimed at supporting adolescent males through a relapse prevention framework for developing a healthy identity. Furthermore, the Transitional Living Program facilitates a gradual shift for residents from intensive care to a more self-sufficient, home-like atmosphere with ongoing staff support and daily responsibilities.
