About
Spruce Mountain Inn is dedicated to helping young adults achieve their personal, educational, and independent living aspirations by focusing on mental health issues and offering customized life skills coaching. Their programs for residential and transitional living are designed to support individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and other related conditions. Utilizing evidence-based and experiential therapy methods, young adults aged 18-28 can break free from detrimental habits and navigate their way to successful adulthood.
The center offers a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as family therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). In addition, they incorporate group sessions, 12-Step programs, educational workshops, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) Therapy.
A key component of Spruce Mountain's approach is their career support initiative, which assists clients in securing local internships and participating in life skills development groups. This program helps clients define their career aspirations, acquire necessary skills, and gain valuable job experience. Furthermore, to facilitate independent living, clients receive educational assistance. The career and education coordinator collaborates with clients on online studies or local university classes to help them achieve their academic goals while in treatment.
At Spruce Mountain, clients engage in a broad range of experiential and expressive therapies that emphasize adventure, art, physical movement, and music. Off-site activities include local excursions to art and music performances, museums, movie outings, thrift shops, and beach visits. Their adventure group organizes hiking, rock climbing, skiing, and canoeing activities, while the movement group hosts arranged sports and fitness activities like volleyball, basketball, tennis, frisbee, and gym workouts.
Situated on a spacious rural campus, the Spruce Mountain lodge features a mix of shared and private rooms, a welcoming lounge, a recreation room, an art studio, and a TV lounge. Clients enjoy meals prepared by chefs, yoga sessions, access to fitness facilities, musical instruments, and an outdoor dining space. During their average nine-month stay, access to technology and social media is regulated. Clients start their journey at The Inn, transition to The Apartments (staffed transitional living), and then move on to The Greatwood Lodge (unstaffed transitional living). Spruce Mountain generally accommodates up to 22 clients at once, accepting self-pay options for treatment expenses.

Currently, Spruce Mountain Inn accepts self-pay for treatment costs, allowing for flexibility and individualized care. We believe that each client's path to recovery is unique, and our self-pay model ensures that you can focus solely on the therapeutic process without the constraints often associated with insurance billing. Payments can be arranged through different methods, making it easier to manage financial commitments while prioritizing mental health and personal development.
For individuals with insurance, we encourage potential clients and their families to reach out directly to our admissions team.
