Adult and Teen Challenge Albuquerque Men's Home

Situated in the arid landscape just southeast of Albuquerque, the Adult and Teen Challenge New Mexico Men’s Campus provides a faith-based rehabilitation program tailored for men grappling with addiction issues. Established by David Wilkerson in 1960, the organization has expanded to include nearly 250 centers across the U.S. and over 1,000 globally in 95 countries. The program requires a one-time fee of $500 at admission, with no further costs during the stay. The Bible-centered approach of Adult and Teen Challenge emphasizes three pivotal recovery objectives: healing from the damage caused by addiction, reconciling relationships with Jesus Christ and others, and fostering personal transformation based on biblical teachings. Participants engage in a variety of activities, including sermons, Bible studies, prayer sessions, spiritual retreats, and vocational training. The Life Renewal program offers behavioral health counseling using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) alongside relapse prevention techniques framed within a Christian ethos. While there are no medical staff on-site, individuals must complete detoxification before entering the program. To promote a focused recovery environment, contact with those outside of immediate family is restricted, and personal electronic devices are prohibited. Additionally, to support the mission of comprehensive recovery, smoking is not permitted on the premises.
