Carlsbad LifeHouse provides a comprehensive range of services for adults dealing with substance use issues, spanning from detoxification to sober living and ongoing support programs. Situated near the Pecos River and easily reachable via Highway 285 and the Red bus line, LifeHouse serves clients from across the Carlsbad region. The center accepts various private insurance plans, Medicaid, and offers a flexible fee structure. At Carlsbad LifeHouse, individuals can undergo medically-assisted detox while participating in peer-led sessions and receiving care from qualified medical staff. Those enrolled in residential treatment have access to personalized and group therapy, off-site AA and NA meetings, as well as recreational activities such as leisurely strolls by the river. A special initiative, Avalon, allows mothers with young children to get childcare support and aids them in maintaining custody of their kids. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) enables clients to fulfill their external obligations while pursuing treatment, particularly suitable for those who do not need a more intensive level of care. Participants attend sessions in person or through telehealth, committing to 9 hours weekly for 16 weeks. Additionally, clients can take part in individual and group therapy, with evening sessions addressing anger management, grief, and substance use challenges. The facility also provides support services for families and peer-led classes at the Carlsbad detention center. Carlsbad LifeHouse features several sober living residences for men and women, as well as those with children. Sober living arrangements are not covered by insurance and necessitate a commitment of six months, with costs around $170 weekly.
