About
ERC Denver - Franklin St. provides a residential program dedicated to assisting children and adolescents of all genders in their recovery from eating disorders, specifically for those who are medically stable. The facility offers 24-hour support, including ongoing monitoring and daily medical and psychiatric oversight from a team of professionals who focus on eating disorders and related mental health issues. Through tailored programs that incorporate therapy, education, medical assistance, and family engagement, ERC aims to foster both physical and mental well-being in its patients.
At ERC, individuals participate in research-backed therapies to develop skills that will aid them in everyday life. They have opportunities for individual, group, and family therapy sessions where they can delve into personal concerns, enhance coping mechanisms, and connect with others experiencing similar challenges. Skilled dietitians work with patients to create supportive and structured meal plans that prioritize diversity, balance, and adaptability.
The flagship location of ERC has been thoughtfully designed with input from current and former patients. Key areas, such as bathrooms and dining facilities, have been improved to incorporate quieter flooring and outdoor-inspired lighting that promotes a calming atmosphere. Patients enjoy comfortable bedrooms, and a state-of-the-art teaching kitchen offers practical experience in meal planning alongside emotional management.
With the availability of day treatment and intensive outpatient programs, ERC's structured approach ensures comprehensive support at each recovery stage. Their day programs operate 5 to 7 days a week, allowing patients to practice skills in real-world contexts. For greater flexibility, intensive outpatient (IOP) services are scheduled 3 to 4 times weekly, enabling patients to maintain their school, work, or family commitments while receiving therapy, nutritional guidance, and supported meal experiences.
