The center focuses on addressing the core causes of addiction alongside any associated mental health issues, traumas, or stressors. Participants at Healing Pines Recovery are engaged in daily holistic and experiential activities, which often involve physical tasks around the ranch. Clients have opportunities to interact with on-site animals, including donkeys and dogs. Furthermore, off-site activities like equine therapy and sessions with animals such as llamas and goats are available. Other experiential offerings include hiking, fishing, snowboarding, playing pickleball, basketball, snowshoeing, mountain biking, and pottery. Family involvement is an important aspect of the program at Healing Pines Recovery, featuring weekly family therapy sessions and designated visitation times. Each Sunday, family members can visit, hold private meetings with a family therapist, or participate in joint family therapy sessions. The center also permits the use of technology, enabling men to maintain communication with their families as well as attend to any urgent work matters. Upon completing the residential phase, Healing Pines Recovery assists clients in transitioning to additional care options, which may include intensive outpatient programs, sober living arrangements, or outpatient services.
