About
Pivot Recovery Living is a well-organized sober living facility for young men located in Tucson, Arizona. Specifically tailored to meet the needs of adolescents, young adults, and those in college, Pivot implements a progressive framework that facilitates personal growth and independence while emphasizing recovery. Residents are placed in age-appropriate environments, beginning in a highly supportive setting and gradually gaining more freedom as they acquire the necessary skills and self-assurance to live independently.
The program integrates clinical treatment with peer support, featuring regular therapy sessions and guidance from staff members who are themselves in recovery. From the outset, residents engage in 12-Step activities, which involve attending meetings, securing sponsors, and participating actively in the wider recovery community. Life at Pivot also encompasses assistance with educational pursuits, employment, and essential life skills. Residents have the opportunity to re-enroll in high school or college, prepare for job opportunities, and learn important skills such as budgeting, time management, and maintaining healthy lifestyles.
For those interested in higher education, Pivot provides a specific Collegiate Recovery Program. Residents in this pathway enjoy proximity to the University of Arizona and Pima Community College and receive structured academic support alongside their recovery initiatives. The program includes weekly advising, tutoring, and study sessions to ensure that students can maintain their academic progress while prioritizing their recovery. With integrated accountability, access to fitness facilities, and a strong peer network, this college program aims to enable students to excel both in their studies and in their sober lives.
Pivot manages three thoughtfully designed campuses in central Tucson, each designed for a particular age demographic. The Adolescent Transitional Campus covers three serene acres by the Santa Catalina Mountains, providing a nurturing environment for teenagers. The Transitional Living Campus is a private courtyard-oriented space where young men can start taking college courses, work, or engage in volunteer opportunities. College-aged residents are accommodated at the Collegiate Recovery Campus, a spacious estate created by architect Josias Joesler, featuring a gourmet kitchen, social areas, and quiet study zones that foster academic achievement while in recovery.
The warm, sunny climate of Tucson significantly enhances the recovery experience. With convenient access to outdoor activities and a vibrant recovery network, residents benefit from an environment that supports them in reconstructing their lives. Pivot presents an excellent option for young men eager to embrace recovery in a structured, encouraging, and community-focused atmosphere.

At Pivot Transitional Living, we understand that the journey to recovery is a significant investment in one's future, and we are committed to making our services accessible to those in need. We work with a variety of insurance providers to help cover the costs associated with our structured sober living program. We encourage families and individuals to contact us directly to discuss their insurance plans, as coverage can vary based on the specific policy and provider.
In addition to insurance, we also offer flexible payment options for those who may not have comprehensive coverage. Our team is available to discuss financial arrangements and potential scholarships for eligible residents, ensuring that finances do not become a barrier to receiving the necessary support.
At Pivot, our priority is to support young men in their recovery journey while providing a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. We are dedicated to guiding residents as they regain independence and thrive not just in sobriety but also in their personal and academic pursuits. Please reach out to our admissions team for more detailed information about our insurance partnerships and payment options.
