About
Located within sight of the Sandia Mountains and approximately 90 minutes north of Santa Fe, New Mexico Wellness Treatment Center Rio Rancho offers comprehensive, trauma-informed treatments for adults facing substance use challenges. This residential center, previously operating as a Days Inn near UPS, boasts a therapeutic garden and scenic desert vistas. Clients have the opportunity to engage in group excursions into the desert landscape. Each individual at New Mexico Wellness Treatment Center is provided with a private room to promote comfort and privacy.
The range of services includes individual counseling, group therapy, art and music therapy, medication-assisted recovery options, nutrition guidance, and yoga sessions. Commonly treated addictions encompass alcohol, benzodiazepines, cocaine, opioids, heroin, fentanyl, pain medications, and methamphetamines. The center's approach to treatment emphasizes personal strengths and spiritual growth, allowing for customization according to diverse belief systems. Both 12-Step and alternative recovery meetings are facilitated, and medications such as methadone and Suboxone are available as deemed beneficial for the client.
Clients typically undergo a 30-day treatment program, which includes life skills training to aid in their transition post-treatment. Continuous monitoring is provided during the detox process, ensuring client safety round-the-clock. New Mexico Wellness Treatment Center is open to returning clients and is dedicated to assisting individuals in finding food and housing solutions.
While the center encourages completion of the program, it does permit early discharges if requested. In such cases, they will ensure the client’s safety, offer relevant discharge information, and extend an invitation to reach out for further support in the future.
Though New Mexico Wellness Treatment Center is connected with the local community and accepts New Mexico Medicaid, it is accessible to individuals from various backgrounds, with a particular focus on veterans and Native American populations. Native shamans are available to perform rites and support the recovery process.
New Mexico Wellness Treatment Center also operates a facility in Taos, located two hours to the south. During the admission process, clients may choose their preferred location based on availability, with treatment approaches and costs remaining consistent across both sites.
Treatment Focus
The center focuses on addressing issues related to substance use disorders, assisting individuals in achieving stability, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and linking them to empathetic support services.
