Located in the eastern part of Knob Hill in Colorado Springs, Recovery Unlimited offers treatment for individuals and couples dealing with substance use disorders, along with co-occurring mental health issues and trauma. Their program features off-site detox services and a comprehensive 12-week intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment. With a dedicated staff of 25, Recovery Unlimited supports over 500 clients simultaneously. Clients have the option to detox either at home or at the nearby El Paso County Detoxification Center, also known as Sandstone Care Detox Center, situated 15 minutes north of the facility. The IOP is available by appointment throughout the week from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., with walk-ins welcome on weekdays. Each client benefits from 9 hours per week of group therapy, along with individual sessions with a licensed counselor. Treatment modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing, both of which effectively address accompanying mental health issues, trauma, and other factors contributing to addiction. The center also assists clients with medication management and provides Vivitrol and Suboxone to aid in cessation of drug use. Regular drug screenings are conducted to track clients' recovery progress. To deter the risk of future addictions, Recovery Unlimited refrains from prescribing medications such as Ambien, sedative hypnotics, opioids, benzodiazepines, or stimulants. Their peer support program is designed to guide clients through their long-term recovery journey. Furthermore, Recovery Unlimited offers level 4+ DUI services and parole support, aiming to help clients maintain their freedom while focusing on recovery. They also facilitate connections to primary care providers for both routine and urgent medical needs. To foster a supportive environment for long-term recovery, Recovery Unlimited hosts free family support sessions weekly. Their vision is to create "a world free from chemical addiction," anchored in values such as trust, compassion, accountability, and respect. The owner is a certified Colorado Addiction Counselor III (CACIII), and the leadership team consists of licensed counselors and administrative experts.
