As a nonprofit organization, they are committed to affordability, offering scholarships and payment plans; however, insurance is not accepted for the inpatient services. Clients engage with the 12 Steps during their stay, completing up to Step 9 before continuing with Steps 10-12 alongside their sponsors and peers in 12-Step initiatives. The center presents opportunities for clients to participate in group discussions, experiential activities, and community engagement. Although therapists are not on-site, if a client requires therapy, Spero ensures access to outside professionals. Upon completing their residential treatment, clients transition into aftercare and become part of the thriving Spero Recovery Center alumni program. Clients have the opportunity to participate in peer meetings, attend workshops covering various recovery topics, and learn strategies for preventing relapse. Alumni are encouraged to remain engaged within the Spero Recovery community, with lifelong access to recovery tools. Located in Evergreen, Colorado, Spero Recovery Center provides an ideal environment for healing. The facility boasts 16 square miles of picturesque trails and parks, two trailheads, and a woodworking shop on-site. Clients can take advantage of a range of outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing, skiing, snowshoeing, nature walks, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing at nearby Evergreen Lake. The center invites guest speakers and specialists to conduct classes in meditation, yoga, and cooking. Accommodations at Spero include room and board, with all meals covered as part of the program.
