About
The Morton Center is dedicated to helping individuals rebuild their lives and strengthen family dynamics through education, assistance, and comprehensive treatment informed by trauma awareness. Specializing in substance use disorders, they also address co-occurring mental health challenges in adults and provide customized mental health support for children and teens. Their extensive services include intensive outpatient programs for adults and youth, individual and group therapy, family counseling, as well as medication-assisted treatment, with options for both in-person and telehealth visits.
For children aged 5 and older, The Morton Center provides therapeutic services without requiring a parent or guardian to be in treatment. Their programs encompass age-appropriate therapies such as art therapy, play therapy, and sand tray therapy, creating a nurturing space for children to navigate and articulate their emotions. Caregiver consultations are also offered, equipping adults with strategies to foster their children's emotional well-being at home.
Teenagers aged 12 to 18 can access specialized services at The Morton Center, including early intervention solutions for substance use issues, assessments to ascertain necessary care levels, individual and family therapy, and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). This IOP runs on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 PM, providing group therapy, psychoeducation, and peer support.
The outpatient programs for adults feature an IOP that enables participants to balance professional and family commitments while focusing on their recovery journey. This program takes place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. The center also provides individual, couples, and family therapy sessions. Their aftercare services include recovery support groups facilitated by therapists, designed to help adults sustain their progress and connect with a supportive recovery community. Additionally, medication-assisted treatment options are available for adults dealing with opioid use disorders, utilizing medications such as suboxone, vivitrol, and methadone.
