Northern Kentucky Counseling Center, a division of Addiction Recovery Care, specializes in outpatient treatments that encompass both individual and group therapy, along with 12-Step and Celebrate Recovery sessions. They also offer peer support, focused case management, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Their intensive outpatient programs (IOP) feature adaptable scheduling and cater to clients who do not require medical detoxification supervision. A typical day in the IOP consists of a combination of personalized individual therapy and group sessions that address the specific needs of each client. Participants engage in evidence-based therapeutic approaches as well as faith-centered support through meetings such as Celebrate Recovery. The program includes vocational training to develop essential job skills, and peer support combined with targeted case management plays a crucial role in the daily structure. Clients can attend the program three or five days a week, with options available in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Notable aspects of the center include the availability of same-day care appointments, vocational training, and career development opportunities, which help participants transition back into their everyday lives with clear objectives. The vocational program focuses on imparting vital job skills that enhance employability and support sustained recovery. Training may involve building resumes, honing interview skills, and acquiring computer or specialized skills in areas such as carpentry, culinary arts, or customer service. Emphasizing a faith-based approach, the center offers spiritual care services, chaplain support, and meetings that foster recovery based on Christian principles, such as AA and Celebrate Recovery.
