Situated in the scenic regions of Kentucky, the Adult and Teen Challenge Kentucky Men’s Rehab, commonly referred to as Adult and Teen Challenge Dixon Men's Home, provides a faith-oriented rehabilitation program designed for men dealing with substance abuse issues. Established by David Wilkerson in 1960, this organization has expanded to nearly 250 locations across the United States and over 1,000 centers in 95 countries worldwide. The program requires an initial fee of $500 at the time of entry, with no further monthly charges throughout the duration of the treatment. The center's Bible-centered approach centers on three principal objectives aimed at aiding recovery from the challenges of substance dependence: restoring relationships with Jesus Christ and others, achieving personal reconciliation, and undergoing transformation grounded in faith. Participants engage in various activities, including sermons, Bible studies, prayer sessions, spiritual retreats, and vocational training. Additionally, Life Renewal clinical counseling is provided, wherein behavioral health support integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and prevention techniques from a Christian viewpoint. As the center does not have medical personnel on staff, individuals are required to have undergone detoxification before joining the program. To enhance focus on recovery, interaction is confined to immediate family members, and the use of electronic devices is prohibited. With an overarching aim of promoting recovery from all forms of substance use, smoking is strictly forbidden on the premises.
