Morehead Counseling Center, a component of Addiction Recovery Care, delivers outpatient services such as individual and group therapy, peer support, case management, as well as meetings for 12-Step and Celebrate Recovery programs. They feature intensive outpatient programs (IOP) with adaptable scheduling, specifically tailored for those who do not require medically supervised detoxification. A typical day within their IOP consists of personalized individual therapy and group sessions that cater to each client's specific requirements. Participants engage in evidence-based therapeutic practices and faith-oriented support gatherings, including Celebrate Recovery. Additionally, the program incorporates vocational training to help clients develop necessary job skills. Peer support and case management are essential components of the daily routine. Classes are available 3 to 5 days each week, with schedules that can be adjusted for mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Notable aspects of the center include immediate care appointments, vocational training, and avenues for employment to assist clients in re-establishing their lives with a defined purpose. The vocational training initiative aims to provide clients with vital job skills that boost their employability and contribute to their ongoing recovery. This training encompasses a range of practical abilities aligned with the clients' preferences and the demands of the job market. Clients can practice skills related to resume preparation, interviewing, computer literacy, or specialized trades such as carpentry, culinary skills, or customer service. With a faith-driven perspective, their methodology includes spiritual care services, chaplaincy assistance, and faith-oriented recovery meetings like AA and Celebrate Recovery. These activities promote the importance of trusting in a higher power, consistent with Christian principles.
