About
White Oak Hill Treatment Center, operated by Addiction Recovery Care (ARC), provides a tailored and all-encompassing program specifically designed for women facing addiction challenges. The center adopts a holistic perspective, aiming to support the complete individual—intellectually, physically, and spiritually. The recovery journey begins with thorough assessments, medical support, and residential facilities, ensuring consistent help throughout various phases of recovery. Services available at White Oak encompass medical stabilization, individual and group counseling, spiritual guidance, 12-Step programs, fitness activities, and career development.
A standout aspect of White Oak is its robust vocational training programs. By seamlessly merging substance abuse treatment with job training, ARC’s Crisis to Career initiative empowers those recovering from addiction to find their way back to employment, fostering meaningful and productive lives. This initiative features skill development workshops and practical training options, including the Peer Support Specialist Program (PSSP) and the Second Chance Automotive program.
The Peer Support Specialist Program (PSSP) equips individuals in recovery to assist others with substance use issues. It includes instruction on recovery methods, clinical insights, essential life skills, and health safety practices. Participants can become certified as Kentucky Peer Support Specialists and earn up to 28 college credits. Notably, the Creative Arts PSSP leverages the arts, such as theater and music, to strengthen peer support and bolster recovery efforts.
The treatment regimen at White Oak employs a four-phase strategy, starting with medically monitored detoxification and tailored treatment plans. The second stage emphasizes intensive residential interventions with therapy and counseling aimed at addressing core issues and building coping mechanisms. During the third phase, clients continue to receive therapeutic assistance and embark on vocational training to ready themselves for re-entering the workforce. The program culminates in an internship phase, allowing clients to practice their acquired skills in practical environments.
Treatment Focus
The rehabilitation center focuses on the treatment of substance use disorders alongside mental health issues that may arise simultaneously. Each patient's treatment strategy is tailored to meet their specific needs, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery through attentive and empathetic support.
