About
Yellow Banks Recovery is a detoxification and residential center exclusively for women, situated in Owensboro, Kentucky, dedicated to the treatment of substance use disorders. The facility implements a holistic approach supported by CARF-accredited clinical programs and medical services led by an addiction specialist. With a foundation in Christian values, Yellow Banks Recovery incorporates 12-Step support and spiritual care into its offerings, in addition to providing vocational training options.
The first phase of their comprehensive four-phase program is aimed at detoxifying the body and developing an individualized treatment plan. Upon arrival, clients undergo a thorough physical and mental evaluation by medical staff to create a customized approach. The medical detox process ensures a secure and monitored setting for the withdrawal from drugs or alcohol, with medication-assisted therapy available as necessary.
In the residential phase, care is delivered through a Christian and holistic framework, emphasizing the treatment of the individual as a whole—addressing mind, body, and spirit. Continuous support from addiction specialists is available around the clock. Clients participate in evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions to pinpoint triggers and cultivate effective coping mechanisms. Yellow Banks Recovery facilitates gatherings such as AA, NA, and Celebrate Recovery for peer support. Clients have the option to transition into intensive outpatient treatment with a sober living arrangement for enhanced flexibility.
The second and third phases concentrate on fostering peer relationships and equipping clients with practical skills to reenter the workforce or educational settings. Clients have access to ongoing spiritual life sessions, individual and group therapy, along with 12-Step meetings. Development of life skills is emphasized through targeted job training and educational initiatives. In the last phase, individuals participate in an internship program designed to enhance practical life skills. Upon finishing the program, clients earn a Health and Human Services certificate from Sullivan University, which can lead into Sullivan's associate or bachelor's degree programs.
